1. how to tell if tracfone is AT&T or verizon?

   How exercise i tell which network my sometime tracfone smartphone (not BYOP) used?

   i understand that AT&T (GSM) sims need to be replaced once used but verizon ( CDMA) do not.

   Can i tell the difference by the imei/ sim number?

   890141 + AT&T (GSM)
   890126 + T-Mobile (GSM)
   891480 + Verizon (CDMA)

   Most, if not ALL, TF-branded smartphones nowadays come with Verizon service. Have been that way for 6 months or longer.

   Very few GSM phones were sold from the showtime of Tracfone branded smartphones. Possibly not more a handful. More mutual on some of the other TF companies. The old basic/feature TF branded phones used AT&T, Verizon, and a few T-Mobile.

   Some of the the carrier discussion is moot with the impending Verizon takeover. I don't meet Verizon allowing AT&T or T-Mobile service for very long.
